I will stamp all over 'credible fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming bout.

Ex two-time world heavyweight champion Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's arena on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I'm going to damage his features and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

Despite these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically famous for his theatrics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul instead attacked former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK rival Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.

Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

Still, the novice is still one of the sport's greatest financial successes, regularly earning substantial financial rewards.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As both boxers participated in the usual stare-down, with their height and weight contrast on show, it highlighted just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is truly happening.
