19 of the Russian's 21 victories have been won on hard surfaces
A resurgent Medvedev secured his maiden trophy for nearly 30 months with victory over opponent Moutet in the Almaty Open championship match.
The athlete, a former world number one, has experienced a difficult period, managing just one match at the Grand Slams and undergoing a setback at the New York tournament.
His inconsistency on the tennis tour - and struggles with his serve in especial - caused him dropping out of the world's top 10 and eventually separating with former coach his previous coach.
Currently collaborating with his coach and his other coach, Medvedev has steadily improved in the past month - peaking in a hard-fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 win over opponent Corentin Moutet.
This represents Medvedev's maiden championship since the Italian tournament and initial on a hard surface after March of 2023.
The win also means Medvedev has achieved 21 victories at 21 various competitions.
"For the first time I'm at a competition with my children together, so to get a title is especially meaningful," said world number 14 Daniil Medvedev.
"This championship is in dedication of my second daughter my daughter, because the first title I won when my child Alisa was born was for her."
The tennis star, the past champion, had lost his previous six finals, featuring in that event earlier this year.
His retrieving play style and recurring reactions on the tennis court had led commentators to doubt if his skill to compete at the elite level was concluded.
However the athlete has altered his approach in the past month, attempting to advance forward and compete positively, reinforced by an better service.
Medvedev came back from a deficit in the first set against the tricky Moutet, securing 4 of the final five points to gain the advantage.
The pair traded service breaks in the second set before Moutet, striving for his first ATP Tour victory, seized the initiative to create a third set.
Moutet saved four initial opportunities in a competitive deciding set before Medvedev secured a break to that score to serve for the match.
Fittingly, he clinched the title with a rally at the net area, with Moutet unable to manage a volley after two hours and 38 minutes.
