The Popular Show Season Four Reveals the Fighters Table

From the very beginning of Campaign 4, new Dungeon Master Brennan Lee Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with extensive world-building, a colorful mix of heroes, and a gripping narrative featuring celestial beings, evil spirits, and sinister influences expanding in strength within the urban setting.

Warning: Revealing details for Episode 3 of the new season are included.

The Combat-Oriented Party Introduced

Episode 3 concluded with a huge suspense moment and introduced the premier party of adventurers who will branch out from the central cast to embark on their separate journey, separate from the other two tables.

This warrior group features Teor Pridesire (played by the voice actor), the nimble rogue (Laura), the strong-willed figure (Whitney), the cleric (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan (the actor).

The Reason for Division

Considering an extensive roster, it was evident from the beginning that having everyone at a single group would be impossible.

This explains, the opening chapters of this story serve as an Prelude, connecting the characters’ stories before branching into three separate parties: Warriors, Strategists, and Seekers.

Characteristics of the Warrior Group

As described by the DM, the combat-focused party is for players who prefer a traditionally charged combat and conflict-driven story mode where diplomatic options are few and far between.

Initially, characters like the hesitant healer Wicander Halovar might look out of place, but the events of the latest installment show why these particular heroes are perfectly fit for the warrior group.

Motivations for Departure

First, the team understands precisely where to head next after a violent first encounter with the antagonists.

A former ally of Thjazi Fang—whose passing started the campaign’s events—manipulated the enemy for his own means, breaking into the hidden lair, striking Thimble, and taking all the enchanted items to sell off.

The antagonist then settled his obligations and fled to a Halovar stronghouse in the remote area, above the urban center, with Teor’s brother pursuing him.

Personal Motivations

Additionally, each character has a individual motive to leave the city the urban setting:

  • The rogue, as the close ally and closest confidant, wants revenge.
  • The knowledgeable figure knows the northern area and warns that it is a dangerous location.
  • The strong character and The cleric, having defied his family’s wishes to kill Teor and instead saved him, have no other options.
  • Yet, their status as prominent individuals in House Halovar could help the team reach places they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Additionally, The grateful character vowed a eternal obligation to Wicander for his salvation and will now go with him wherever.

Fugitives

Finally, all of them are sought by the rulers that govern the city for a variety of reasons, making remaining behind too risky:

  • Thimble and The hero are known criminals.
  • Tyranny and Wicander betrayed the powerful family and the horde of evil beings they are partnered with.
  • The fighter is targeted for elimination by the clan.

This results in them no alternative but to head to the remote area in quest for the traitor.

What’s Next?

From episode three’s Cooldown, we discover that the combat party will be absent next week, leaving the rest of the participants to assemble the Seekers and Strategists groups.

Audiences can expect discovering which characters will be in which group in the season’s final introductory chapter, released on next week.
